Substance use and addiction continue to be among the most serious behavioral health problems suffered by our nation. Stigma and shame continue to compound addiction issues, but we ARE making progress. MUSC’s Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs and Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Foundation are partnering to continue pushing forward to forever change how America responds to this urgent health issue.
Funds raised will allow Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Foundation to provide financial support to educational prevention programs for teens throughout the state, as well as programs that treat teens and young adults who struggle with substance abuse and addiction. Proceeds also will help MUSC’s Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs recruit the best researchers, train future scientists and caregivers, provide the best care and explore new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat alcohol and drug dependence.
All net proceeds benefit the Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Foundation and MUSC Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs through the MUSC Foundation, both 501(c)(3) charities, and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The amount of any contribution that is tax deductible is limited to the excess of any money over the value of goods or services provided.

We invite you to join more than 1,000 community leaders sponsoring this year’s event. Learn more about the important work being done for local children in crisis and hear first-hand about the collateral effects of substance use disorders.
